The Simple

When you want to keep your ceremony really simple, I can officiate a brief wedding ceremony, with all the legal requirements but none of the pomp and ceremony. This service includes:

  • Preparing and witnessing your Notice of Intended Marriage

  • Preparing and witnessing your Declaration of No Legal Impediment.

  • Simple ceremony, within 20km of Hawthorn

  • Standard set of legal vows with just you and two witnesses present.

  • Preparing and witnessing your Official Certificate of Marriage.

  • Lodgement of all required documents with Births Deaths and Marriages.

    $450

Following a recent amendment to the Marriage Act, regardless of which option you choose I am required by law to meet with both of you, in-person and independently prior to solemnising your marriage, in order to establish full consent of both parties to the marriage. You may have another person with you when we meet but it cannot be your intended spouse.

The Standard

When you want a wedding ceremony that is totally you, but doesn’t have so many moving parts it takes 2 years to organise, I can officiate a ceremony that is tailored to your needs from a smaller set of choices that don’t feel overwhelming. This service includes:

  • Preparing and witnessing your Notice of Intended Marriage.

  • A sit down planning meeting to shape your ceremony into something really special.

  • Preparing and witnessing your Declaration of No Legal Impediment.

  • Tailored script, with a choice of vows, ring exchange etc. and 2 revisions, up to two weeks before your ceremony.

  • Infinite emails as we get ourselves organised.

  • “Table Read” rehearsal locally or via Zoom (if required).

  • ~20 minute ceremony, within 50km of Hawthorn*.

  • Use of single portable Bose S1 Pro sound system and your choice of wireless handheld or lapel microphones for me, you, anyone else doing readings, and for your music if required.

  • Preparing and witnessing your Official Certificate of Marriage and Commonwealth Marriage Certificate.

  • Lodgement of all required documents with Births Deaths and Marriages.

    $950 Friday, Saturday & Sunday

    $850 Monday - Thursday

*extra travel at $10/10km or part thereof.

The Grand

This is your Big Day, so let’s go big! I can officiate a highly customised wedding ceremony with rituals and readings and doves and snake charmers and… well you get the picture. This service includes:

  • Preparing and witnessing your Notice of Intended Marriage.

  • A sit down planning meeting to shape your ceremony into something really special.

  • Preparing and witnessing your Declaration of No Legal Impediment.

  • Customised script, with your choice of vows, ring exchange etc. and infinite revisions, up to two weeks before your ceremony.

  • Infinite emails as we get ourselves organised.

  • Another sit down meeting to check in we’re on track for the best day of your life.

  • Rehearsal at your chosen venue (if required).

  • 30-40 minute ceremony, within 70km of Hawthorn*.

  • Use of dual portable Bose S1 Pro sound system and your choice of wireless handheld or lapel microphones for me, you, anyone doing readings and for your music if required.

  • Use of my signing table with choice of dressing.

  • Use of a music stand and microphone for readings.

  • Preparing and witnessing your Official Certificate of Marriage.

  • Preparation of your Commonwealth Marriage Certificate including professional calligraphy.

  • Lodgement of all required documents with Births Deaths and Marriages in the state of your ceremony.

  • Ordering a Marriage Certificate from Births Deaths and Marriages on your behalf, including priority mailing to your home.

    $1350 Friday, Saturday & Sunday

    $1250 Monday - Thursday
